Hair

Daniella has so much hair! And now it is changing colors. Her roots are turning platnum blond and she has splotches of red next to her ears. I find it fascinating to watch this gradual change. I also just love seeing those curls!

On Call Day

Since Trent is on call today, I figured I'd post a picture blog about what our day was like while he was away. Perhaps he will be able to feel more connected by reading this at the hospital.

Daniella woke up around 10 AM and was in a good mood for her diaper change and getting dressed (this is a rare occasion). I'm hoping that the routine of singing songs while changing her is making this more pleasant. We talked for a few minutes as she filled up her new diaper and I grabbed the camera to take the best smile picture she has had so far.



We then walked to the park in her new stroller talking about the plant life we saw along the way. When we returned, we read a book about sleep. She then sat in her swing and napped.

When she awoke we took pictures of her on my birthday present, a pretty white blanket. She appeared quite thoughtful looking at first. . .

She even cooed a few times. . .

But after a few minutes she got tired. . .

and then angry. . .

After her nap we went on another walk. This time we stayed in our apartment complex. She really enjoys being outside and fussed a little at coming home.

Around 9PM Daniella was bathed and screamed the whole time. She seemed somewhat tired and I think she missed her dad. It is generally his job to hold her pacifier in and assure her "it is all okay" while I wash her. I tried to do both, but she would not calm down for me. . . We'll try again next call day.

Soon after her bath, Daniella fell into a deep sleep. Here she is bathed and dressed for bed in her car seat to bring Dad his dinner.


Though she is not able to say it yet, I can tell she missed her Daddy. We are both excited to have him home tomorrow.
